this is by no means an exhaustive or even semi complete update. i am on my dad's laptop in our hotel and he is wanting to use it very soon. but i thought since i was on here reading and commenting on everyone else's blog i'd better post something on mine...
first, i love it here... and have no desire to come home and job hunt. blecccch. but i don't want to miss dev's wedding and well, let's face it... without a job, there is no money... borrrrrrring :)
second, so far, we have explored: marbella, granada and the alhambra, ronda, gibralter, and morocco! i can now say i've been to 4 continents: n. america, europe, asia, and africa! it's sounds sooooo exotic.
third, we have made friends with an adorable little stray kitty that lives here with several other kitties on the resort. we've named her pilar. she's a very sweet little gray tabby who likes to follow us up to the third floor and in to our room where we spoil her with little treats. i kinda wish i could pack her up and take her home!
fourth, tomorrow we are headed to an outdoor market somewhere near here, but can't quite remember where at the moment.
and finally, i come home on friday and will surely be jetlagged. honestly, if i have to be home, i am truly looking forward to lounging on my new couch (that was finally delivered the sat before i left) and watching all of my accumulated tivo. please don't tell me who wins project runway... i'm saving that for the weekend! i have taken plenty of pictures.... and so has my mom and so has my mom's friend, susan (we are here with my parents' friends (sid and susan).
i lied... one final thing: i got to ride a camel today... in africa!!

Did you go to Tangier in Morrocco? I went to Tangier and Fes, but we did not get to ride any camels =( The ferry ride over was the scariest in my life...
did you sing the humpty dance???? please tell me you did SOME sort of "wow, 2 humps in 1 ride? what a deal!" kind of joke!!! what a fun reprieve from jobhunting you're having!
I am totally resisting the urge to break out my Meryl Streep Out of Africa impression. Impressions are hard to do via blog post.
I am so envious and wish I was there to hop between countries and get tan. Oooh...next time take me with you in your Orla Kiely travel bag!
Sarah
fun!! i hope you are having a blast, cant wait see photos :)
I'm so jealous, Morocco has always been one of those destinations I fantasized about as a kid...
don't camels smell??
it was soooo fun. and yes, holly i was in tangier. the camels were so fun... and i didn't notice any bad smells either. and thankfully none of them spit on me either. i will post more detailed blogs on each of our day adventures, starting tomorrow!
