cute as a button was the theme for laura's baby shower. she is a friend from culver and one of my three friends who are all due the same week in july as each other!! the shower was held at her parents' condo in the south loop of chicago - it's a beautiful asian inspired decorated apartment on the 38th floor. the views are normally gorgeous... but that day it decided to be foggy. it eventually cleared, but we weren't there for the view anyways!
we had a delicious brunch with lots of yummy food, cupcakes & button cookies for dessert and mimosas for us non-preggy ladies!
we also played a couple of games: guess who the famous baby is (ie match the famous person to their baby pictures) and create what the baby will look like when combining photos of laura and her hubby, chris.
this was my interpretation!
and opened some gifts... lots of gifts for baby girl OR boy campbell! it's going to be a surprise!! but, laura has been having very very vivid girl dreams... and everyone seems to think she is having a girl. guess we'll have to wait until july to find out!!

kyle and i gave her this baby lotion/powder something or other that i think is for her... or perhaps the baby... or maybe both! i can't remember what all was in it... but it smelled good! we also gave her a prenatal massage.
we also surprised laura with onesies in 3 or 4 sizes from infant to well, whatever 3 or 4 sizes later is! we all kept disappearing to make onsies in the other room.

laura looks absolutely fabulous! in that last photo, you can't even tell she's pregnant. so crazy she's due the same week as elizabeth and i! and her parent's city condo looks gorgeous!
