arlington.

on july 18th, the culver club of chicago (our local alumni chapter) had an outing to the race track at arlington. it was an afternoon of horsies, small time betting (well, for me at least!), and people reminiscing about culver.

arlington is just north of the city... you can drive or take the metra.


culver had a suite which was great bc there was food and ac which was great bc it was another hot hot hot and humid day! however. the food left a bit to desire although i do love cheese balls, mac n cheese, and mozzarella! but this plate is rather orange...

i won! on a horsey named: go doug go! i picked it cause of my crush on ohio doug who i've blogged about before. i made 93 bucks! i hit the big time... ooooooooohhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah!


this was one of the kiddos there. he was so cute and he pretty much loved the katherines (me and the other katherine on the right). he kept picking the horsies and his dad would place his bets. super cute.
