the limoges boxes

Like the opera glasses, these little boxes are also on display in my case in the bedroom. One of the things my nana collected was limoges boxes. I remember them well from the house in fl where most of them were kept. I always loved looking at them. One of my favorites was a pink ice cream cone so I was thrilled when we were sent some of her collection. The hobag sent some, but decided we couldn’t possibly have all of them. There is also a little kitty box that is another standout from when I was a kid. When my nana was alive, I was allowed anywhere in the house and she often let me play and look at her limoges boxes. Once she was gone and hobag had moved in and then bought the new place, they were put in ‘their wing’ of the house and we weren’t supposed to go anywhere near there. Seriously. During the picking of things, my aunt picked several of the boxes and I got several of them as well. i don’t have the complete collection or even that many, but I love the ones I do have and it’s something else that was a part of who my nana was.
