happy birthday alice!

happy birthday my dear friend alice!! alice's big 3-1 was on friday, the 17th and we celebrated first with d'agostino's pizza (truly delicious) and then headed to guthrie's a little pub that's about 3 houses away from where she used to live. i say used to live b/c as of this past sat, alice is no longer a resident of wrigleyville on addison street, she now lives downtown on the 43rd floor of a building with amazing views. lucky! anyways, we all had a great time at guthries. the schtick there is that they have just about every board game known to man and takeout menus so you can order and have anything you want delivered. we started playing taboo and quickly realized we all kinda sucked at that one. and as more people joined us, we needed a game that was more suitable. so someone suggested apples to apples - a game i'd never played but now absolutely love. it is hilarious and we had a great time laughing and playing the game. it was hopefully exactly what alice wanted as she picked it all out and wanted to be low key which we were.
