first cubs game of the season!

it's finally starting to warm up here in the windy city. phew! finally! which means, it's baseball time! so, megan, trish, john (trish's bf), sonny, nicole, kyle, and me all decided to head to a game the first week of the season and make a whole day of it.

around 11, we all headed to megan's house to start some drinking and bag playing. while it wasn't super warm, it wasn't cold and at least it was sunny! so we played bags for awhile and then walked over to the stadium (megan lives a few blocks away) for the 1:20 game. we were split in to different seats as trish had her company seats and kyle, nicole, and i had bought our tickets separately. but that's ok, we were all along the 3rd baseline. it was chilly since we were in the shade, but that was ok... beer, hot dogs, and nachos kept us going! at one point kyle decided to leave b/c she was freezing so around the 6th inning nicole and i joined the others at their seats for the remainder of the game.




after the game, we met up with kyle at one of the many wrigley area bars (i forget which one, but it's on sheffield) and had a few more post game beers. it turned in to a great afternoon and it was super warm in the bar. they opened up all the windows which is my favorite part of a lot of the bars around here and we kicked back for a bit.

once we were done at the bar, we all headed back to megan's house for more hanging out. we may have played more bags... or wii bowled. i can't quite remember now as it has been a couple of weeks. but in any case, it was a fantastic day! i am excited for more cub games to come!
