go cubs go, part 1!

i love cubs games. on tuesday night (the 12th), trish, megan, ellen, and i went to the cubs game. most cubs games are during the day, but this was a night time one. trish's work has season tickets and used to give them to her, but now she has to pay for them. they are super high up, but they are pretty good seats in that you can see the entire field and it's a nice view. and the girls room is right around the corner which is convenient when you've been drinking too much beer. i went over to trish's new place - she is alice's old roommate - and now trish and her boyfriend, john, are living together right by wrigley. alice and trish used to live a few blocks away... trish and john live literally 4 houses away. so i went to check out the new place and it's perfect for them. it's really fun being so close to the stadium though i don't know that all the traffic and people wouldn't get old... in any case, it's nice to know someone who lives so close! trish and i met ellen and meagan at the side entrance on waveland and headed to our seats. the first inning got off to a rocky start when the padres scored 2 runs right away. grrrr. but, the cubs game back and ended up winning. we all had our share of beer and hot dogs and some peanuts for good measure. it was so much fun! and then the game was over, we belted out 'go cubs go' song - which is played at the end of every game the cubs win. i love that song. it's quite catchy.
