sad news

one of my old friends from culver, joel brugh, died yesterday. we had been super close in high school and while we hadn't been close since then, we still kept in touch over the years. he was such a happy go lucky guy and couldn't have been nicer. he seemed to always find trouble and i may or may not have been the cause of some of it! the last time we talked was in may - he had lived in maui for awhile and offered his suggestions on good places to go and where to eat and all kinds of good info. i just can't believe he's gone. it's just so shocking...
