on monday, my mom who is deathly afraid of heights suggested we go do that glass box at the top of sears tower. i thought she was kidding. she wasn't! so on tues, we got up and went downtown. luckily there really wasn't any line and it wasn't too crowded. she was super apprehensive at first, but she did it! that box is so freaking cool! the views are amazing - it's kinda pricey just to go up there, but i think it is definitely worthwhile!
i'm such a dork!
me and my momma
did you know lincoln logs were invented by frank lloyd wright's son?! there's all kinds of cool trivia up there to learn about:
some not so cool trivia - read this... can you imagine?!
after our daredeviling, we headed back towards my house for a delicious brunch at nookies, too on halsted. from there, we went to get pedicures and then we rested for a bit. and then, we got dressed and went to topolobompo which ever since i'd read holly's blog, i'd wanted to try and also he was competing on top chef masters. love that show. and he seems like such a neat guy, i just had to try his restaurant! it didn't disappoint and neither did rick as he won the competition! yum! after all this fun, it was time for mom to leave on wednesday. it was a busy busy trip!!

disturbing. yet resourceful.
still disturbing.
what's disturbing and resourceful?! i don't get it...
oh, the cemetary trivia? yes. disturbing. and yet resourceful. agreed.
Glad you loved Topolobompo! I was rooting for Rick too since I ate there! Although now I need to try Hubery Keller's Fluer De Lys in SF, and Micheal Chiarello's Bottega in Napa...damn, I live close to both of them!
