second time around...again!

on a random night, i felt like purging my closets. so i did. i still have more to do. it's one of those things i have to be in the mood for otherwise i can't get rid of anything. so, while i was in the mood, i ripped stuff i hadn't worn, couldn't fit in to, looked bad in, and generally just didn't want anymore. get outta my closet!!! so i took my stuff to the resale shop, second time around on armitage. love this store. this is where i got the purse and jean jacket the first time i brought stuff in (and 300 bucks after some of my stuff sold!).

i hauled in my stuff to the store and they took most of my items...and in return (apparently as a special thing) they gave me $50 store credit to be used within 3 days! i say apparently b/c since this is only the 2nd time i've been there, both times they happened to have store credit events going on... now either i have incredible timing...or they tend to have a lot of these specials going on! in any case... i now had less stuff in my closet and 50 bucks to spend. only i didn't find anything i had to have. if i sort of liked it, it was in the wrong size. but, there was a handbag there that i really liked! a turquoise-y tod's bag for $298 minus 20% discount b/c it was on sale. but even with my 50 bucks it was still expensive. so i left it behind...

and then i saw a few errant purses in my closet and realized they were taking up valuable space and i wasn't going to use them again since tastes have changed and so... on another clear out rampage i went. and guess what. in a wallet i was looking thru to make sure it had nothing in it, i found a lucky 2 dollar bill from my mom (she's the only place i ever get $2 bills from) and a folded up traveler's check for 100 bucks! what?! i thought i had thoroughly cleaned out all purses and wallets that i knew i wouldn't use for a while. best. surprise!

the next day, i got a phone call and they told me that they weren't able to accept a couple pairs of my shoes after all and so could i come pick them up within 3 days. so i figured... drop off new consignments, pick up shoes, and look at the bag one more time... with the new consignments (and additional 20 buck voucher) that gave me 70 bucks of free money to spend, plus it was on sale, plus i'd found that random 100 bucks so... yes, that tod's bag found a new home... in my closet.

isn't it all cute and workish?? now i just need a job...i am loving the color. and the price. 116 bucks for a $1300 bag.

I think the very big girl bag is super cute career, and a sign that there's a job on the horizon.
