ok, trish popcorned me and now it is my turn!
Share 5 random and/or weird facts about yourself on your blog or
the 5 top places on your “want to see or want to see again” list. I will do a little of both.
1. dying to travel anywhere in the world - the more random the better
2. i put ketchup on almost anything
3. i hate white condiments (and yes friends, there are a lot of them: cream cheese, sour cream, ranch dressing, mayo...)
4. when i was a kid, i was so flexible, i could lie on my stomach and touch my toes up over my head and on to my chest
5. not only is my second toe longer than my big toe, my third toe is longer than my first toe too! good grief i have long toes (and big feet!)!!
okay kids, if your name is listed below that means you have been tagged next! enjoy :)

i love ketchup too :)
I technically don't blog?! I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean I hog the comment page? Probably. In any case, I don't have a blog because I have visions of my students finding me on the Internet which scares me. A lot!
In any case, I will respond to the popcorn thing here.
1. I cannot stand the smell or taste of regular or maple syrup. It makes me want to throw up. I am fine with fruit syrups, jam, honey, or whatever but if you put me near a stack of pancakes with syrup I might throw up. This is why Dave and I go out for breakfast so much. This way he can have syrup in a well-drafted area that we can leave from so I don't need to deal with the syrup aftermath.
2) When I am at the gym to pass the time I tend to come up with strange ideas for halloween costumes. Recent ideas: Dave and I dressed up as Stan Gables and Betty Childes from _Revenge of the Nerds_; Sarah and Dave as the Captain and Tenille (Muskrat Love...);Sarah and Dave as Smurfette and Handy Smurf; Sarah as Tippi Hedren from _The Birds_ in a cute vintage suit and pill box hat and many fake birds from Michael's craft store stapled to the suit. Sarah as Tracey Flick from _Election_
3) I am the youngest tenure-track faculty member at my college. And not just by a few days. I think I am the youngest by, conservatively, five years.
4) I am really bad at yoga. I had a traumatic yoga experience in elementary school ( This was such a lame idea, Berkelely public schools!) Ever since, I have avoided all flexibility activities like gymnastics and yoga.
5) I have read basically all of the Sweet Valley Twins, Sweet Valley High, and Babysitter's Club books--including all Super Specials, Super Thrillers, etc. I even did my Scripps Humanities Institute final project on Twins in Young Adult Series fiction. If I ever strike it rich I am totally naming my mansion Fowler Crest as an homage to Lila Fowler.
Do you share my obsession? Check out this awesome blog: http://thedairiburger.wordpress.com/
What is the Dairi Burger? For those not in the know the Dairi Burger is, of course where basically all dates in Sweet Valley happened.
what i meant was that you don't have a blog on in your own name for fear of your students finding it and so therefore you are limited to writing only in the comment section of our blogs. that's all! i had no idea you had such an aversion to syrup!! how'd i miss that one all these years?!
and i LOVED all of those books!!
Once I get tenure I promise to start a blog :)
I try to keep my syrup aversion under wraps and I do like other stuff like jam and fruit syrup so I'm not generally that weirdo eating the naked pancakes out at brunch. I'm okay as long as I'm not stuck in the same room with it for too long. Then I kind of flip out.
i did know about the maple syrup problem, luckily, since i got sarah pancake mix with blueberry syrup which i was told was acceptable.
didn't you also hate curry once upon a time?
