champaign.
no, not the bubbly tasty kind... the city type in il. b/c of budget cuts, i got up at 3:15am this morning to drive 2.5 hours to champaign, il. for a meeting that started at 7:30am. it was a breakfast meeting and there were supposed to be 15-20 people there. guess how many showed?? 4. 4 of the cutest old men you've ever met and super friendly. they all convene at panera bread like everyday. how cute is that?? sometimes this one guy goes to panera twice a day. once with his wife around 6 and then again to socialize with the other oldies around 9. he says it's a great place to get business and socialize. who knew?! so cute. anyways, then i had 2 hours to do whatever (blog/email) and in a few, i will be heading to lunch with an attorney and a title agent. and then i will get back on the road and drive home. ugh. loooong day. the budget does not allow for hotels or overnight stays or plane trips these days. fun times. in any case, i'm ready to get back home and after hitting up the gym - i'm prepared - i brought a bag of my gym stuff so i can drive straight there - i am super excited to plant my rear end on the couch and watch some good thursday tv. survivor and greys. i just have to make a long drive home first.

I was introduced to Panera during my 1st year in St Louis - I will never forget studying for first semester final exams with my study group over the best salads a student budget could buy. Love that place. There supposed to open one up down the street from my house.
how cute that that old man loves panera sooo much!
my grandpa and his tennis buddies used to have a "hang out" bagel shop in claremont. i guess once you hit your 70s, sandwich shops are the hot place to be!
my grandfather LOVES panera, its adorable. he and my grandma go over morning. he gets a chocolate chip bagel, she gets a sesame. and coffee
