on monday night, i got my first experience in the wrigley bleachers. the bleacher seats are of course the cheapest, but also the rowdiest. they do not have assigned seating and so you must fight your way to find a place. alice has gone out on a couple of dates with this guy and he invited her to the game on monday night. unfortunately, he couldn't go as he got stuck at work, but he did offer alice the tickets he had. since he had 4 tickets, she called me to ask me to go and also her roommate, tricia, and friend, megan. the four of us met at alice and trish's house which is a mere block and a half or so from the stadium (i'm only a half mile) and went to cheer on the cubbies. from the bleachers. none of us had ever sat there before (seeing as though this was only my second game and you read about my fine seats in section 229 courtesy of my realtor, neringa - btw, devs i don't know how she has season tix - my only guess is that they are thru her company or maybe her husband's??). in anycase, we made our way to the bleachers got some beers and went to find some seats. we found four together and sat ourselves down. note to anyone going to sit in the bleachers... wear your dirty jeans and tennies b/c it is disgustingly gross out there. but anyways, it was so much fun cheering the cubs to victory... 7-1 over the mets. boooo mets. for some reason there were a ton of mets fans out there in the bleachers... no idea why so many ny'ers, but that's ok b/c the cubs prevailed. it was so much fun!
the view isn't the greatest from the seats, but it sure is fun!
the girls: alice, me, trish, megan... btw, i love the guy in the background!

that sounds like the title of a fabulous chick lit type novel
i love the bleachers!
it does sound like a good novel title... i have another title that i'm in love with... i have to figure out whether or not i'm a good enough writer to actually write it...
awww fun. i need some girls in la. everyone lives so far away :( hey sarah mac, wanna go back to dodger stadium with me? i promise it will be better than the sting concert :P
thumbs up dude is most fabulous.
good call on tennies and no flip flops. icky sticky beer, reminds me of CMC dorms.
how about "bleacher girl: the tales of a fabulous single girl in chicago."
ooooh court - now you're talking!! i love that title!
i've decided to remove the word 'single' from my vocabulary since I don't like the connotations - and will replace it with detached to describe my detached friends. So now it's Bleacher Girl: the tale of a fabulous detached girl in Chicago
are you really going to write a novel? do it!
