me and mom had all kinds of adventures over our 3 day trip: this is the day we went off-roading with a jeep we rented. so. much. fun.
this is a sink hole that as recently as like 10 years ago had more rocks sinking. behind me is a big rock they call piano rock b/c it looks like a grand piano. it fell in the 89 earthquake in SF.
mom and i took turns driving on two different trails. again - so. much. fun!!! this is me driving up one of the trails.

mom and i also went for a short hike one day. the views were incredible, it was nicely warm and it felt great to get out on a trail.
we hiked up to this rock. so pretty. i really wanted to climb it. my mom is deathly afraid of heights and pretty much forbad the climbing of said rock. oh well.
while there, we also got massages, ate great (and lots) of food, watched the new american idol premiere, had a psychic reading (sedona is super new agey), and just had fun together. and we may or may not have done a little shopping!

this place reminds me so much of The Boulders in phoenix. you must look it up for future mom+me excursions!
