scripps... 10 years later!?! part 1

how the heck has it been 10 TEN years?! i have no idea as the memories of scripps and our days there seem all so recent and not so distant. but alas, this was reunion #2 - our 10 year reunion... and yes, i was also there for the 5 year. but, back to reunion in a moment...

before heading out to claremont, i headed out to santa monica and stayed with the lovely myman-kaplan family. and on the thursday evening, we met up with sarah and devon who had come in to town a day early for some yummy sushi. and on friday morning before driving out to the mother f'ing sounds of niki minaj, us ladies had a lovely brunch at m cafe (which used to be la grande orange, i believe).

after brunch, devon, sarah and i headed to the drybar which is a fabulous hair place for blow outs only - they have a cocktail style menu from which to choose your style and they make you look fabulous against an awesome back drop of yellow and white decor and chick flicks! so fun! and then we drove out to claremont for a weekend of catching up, drinking, old times, reminiscing, fun, friends, and a whole lot more.

once we got to claremont, dev and i headed down to the new village to meet up with lara, holly and nicole! holly and nicole found us on our walk to the village and picked us up and we eventually found lara in the village which is apparently now so big there are at least 2 wine shops and we picked different ones! but no matter, we all found each other at the packing house wine merchants where we basically took over for the afternoon.

after enjoying a glass or three of wine in the village, we headed to the doubletree to get ready for the first official event of the weekend: the 4c wine tasting. it was packed! so packed it was hard to move around! it was a roped off section of the lawn so i'd suggest next year expanding the roped off area a bit - otherwise it was a fun event!

after the wine tasting, we headed over to our class gathering in the village at the back abbey. it was a great outdoor/indoor space but since there were no ressies, it was tough to find a place to sit and eat/drink. and it might have been a bit chilly, but i really liked it there. from there, lara, holly, nicole and i headed to cmc's monte carlo night. we had so much fun playing with fake money there and then, once we got bored we left with josh walter and a few other guys and headed via golf cart (of course) to the apartments to hit up the party there. oh yes, we did. was it lame? oh yes it was. did we have fun?! of course! did we play flip cup?! totally.

a night at the apartments?! definitely like old times there. and next time please remind me i am waaaaaaaaay too old for apartment parties!!
