heather's baby shower

it's time for another baby shower! on sunday, the 5th alice and i drove out to tinley park which is a southern suburb of chicago. it's about an hour's drive or so. i had no idea what to expect as every baby shower i've been to has been different, but this one was huge!! all these old people, kids,relatives and such were there as well as some of her friends. the only person i knew was alice. but i swear there must have been 50 people there... and that many presents for her to open!! it was all very cutely decorated and there was a lot of yummy food including a very large chocolate table. i of course had to try it all. during the luncheon, we played the obligatory baby shower games which i'm sorry, i just don't enjoy! but, i played along and did the games. it's kinda funny, of all my friends from high school, i must admit i would never have though heather would be one of the first to get married and have a kid! wow! but i know she and her husband, rick, are going to be great parents to their little boy. his name is going to be richard as well, but i can't remember what she said his middle name is going to be. she looks great and the only place she's gained any weight at all is in her tummy where the baby is - lucky girl! i know she's excited for the baby to come and he is supposed to arrive sometime in june!
