walking, walking, walking...

on sunday, kim and i took advantage of the gorgeous weather and went for a walk. a really really long walk. i started from my house and then met her at sheridan and oakdale where she lives (with a quick stop at subway for a quick sandwich for lunch). from there, kim and i walked over to the lake front and took the lake front trail and walked all the way to navy pier! we aren't sure how far it is, but we are thinking that it is probably about 5 miles or so. once we got to navy pier, we turned around and went all the way back. we did stop for a little bit and just sit and enjoy the sunshine. the people watching was fantastic! and then we walked all the way back to kim's house where i dropped her off and i went up clark to belmont and just a little down belmont for a refreshing jamba juice stop. and then i came home and crashed! i was a little tired. but the walk was so nice and so fun! next time i'll bring a book. and... i actually did take some pictures of the day. i will upload tomorrow. all in all, i think i walked about 12 miles yesterday!

scenes from the walk...sorry, i don't know how to rotate these things!

you can see navy pier way in the distance... we walked all the way there!

we walked all the way to downtown and past these buildings!

i love how the beach and water meet with the concrete of the buildings
